The case for switching to rebuildable
3 anss ago / by Master Vape / 2 mins read
Delivering a more appreciable flavour than its buddy the clearomizer, the rebuildable has become a real craze in recent years. In addition to this, it will allow you to obtain considerable savings on the purchase of coils and the consumption of Juice.
Which atomizer to choose?
To begin in the rebuildable, a single coil atomizer is the most recommended. Indeed, the tray is much more suitable for learning the assembly, but also much less greedy in Juice and power. In addition, they are often delivered with coils and cottons quite correct, allowing you to make your first steps in peace.
Amongst the recommended atomizers that are easy to access, simple to assemble, offer no leakage and provide a sure return of flavour, here are some recommendations:
OFRF/Wotofo Gear
Wasp Nano RTA
THC Tauren One
HellVape Destiny
AugVape Druga RTA
Gas Mods Cyber
Also avoid choosing a dual-coil atomizer (like the GeekVape Zeus X, for example) hoping to mount it as a single. This is frankly a very bad calculation. It will make you lose in particular in terms of restitution of flavors. This is not very appreciable. The Airflow of these sprayers is optimized for two coils, it requires a precise assembly to get the maximum. Similarly, an ato mesh (like the Vandyvape Kylin M) requires a careful cotonnage. It is therefore difficult to make your own scales on this.
Which coils?
The user can use a coil of resistive wire to shape his own coil and this, by choosing the diameter and number of turns (which will influence the final coil and therefore the adapted vape power). He can, if he wishes, turn to a box of ready-made coils. He will then just have to screw them on. This will make it easier for him to start assembling. In addition, among the pre-made coils, complex coils such as the Fused Clapton or the Alien (from Wotofo, for example) will give better flavours than a single wire coil.
The alloy used in the coils could be Kanthal A1 (the most classic), but also Nichrome (Ni80) for extra reactivity, or SS316L for better temperature control.
Which cotton?
There is a wide variety of cotton on the market, but cotton-laces (like the Vapefly Firebolt) offer the right amount to insert into the coil. This way, when you start, you won't find yourself in trouble.
What tools should I have?
When embarking on the rebuildable adventure, a minimal set of tools is required:
- Cutting pliers (to cut the coil legs)
- Sharp scissors (to cut the cotton)
- Sharp tweezers (for spinning the cotton and placing it in the gutters)
- Small brass brush (for cleaning the coils)
- Multi-tip screwdriver (for tightening the coil)
- Calibrated rod or screwdriver ⌀2.5-3-3.5mm (to turn the coils)
- Coily Tool type cutting jig (for accurate coil tab length) or a small complete tool kit with everything you'll need, like the CoilMaster.
